Erna’s Garden is a family-owned herbal business based in Suriname, the World's greenest country!! Suriname shares the Amazon Forest with neighboring countries, Guyana, French Guiana, and Brazil. According to REDD+, Suriname is a high forest cover (93%) and low deforestation country, otherwise known as an HFLD (High Forest cover, Low deforestation) country.

So it was only natural for Crystabelle Beaton to have an interest in the forestry that sprouted all around her. Most Surinamese people use plants for healing purposes and even cultivate gardens in their yards. However, some are more gifted in the craft than others and are sought after by people in the community. Her mother, Erna Antoinette Julia Bijnaar, was such a person. From her mother, she learned how to plant, harvest, and utilize the many plants that grew in their family garden.

In 2009, she created her company Erna’s Garden, which now operates out of her childhood home.

The company produces high-quality plant-based products in an environmentally friendly way. Their products are grown without the use of artificial nutrients or pesticides. They cultivate and process the following plants into herbal tea sachets, capsules, juices, and or powders. Which are then sold at local markets around the country.
